Phoebe's 4th Birthday!!!!

In May,  my eldest daughter was 4 and so these were the cards that I made for her special day.  It seems a long time ago now but we had a lovely day. We took her after school to the park as we got her a scooter so she had a go on that.  Admittedly though, she spent more time carrying it then scooting on it.  We then came home and as all the family were around we had a pizza party.

This was the card that her daddy and I gave her.  I used the new Simply Scored tool from Stampin' Up to create the rosettes and in the middle of those I used Antique Brads.  The picture was on that we took of her at christmas where she just looked so natural.  The number and today was from the country companions number collections.

This card was from Chloe, her baby sister and as we are huge fans of Tatty Teddy, I fell in love with this little bear and thought it was just right from her little sister.  The backing paper is from My Minds Eye Totally girl collection and the number and today is from the country companions number collection

For this card, I used the new framelits from Stampin' Upto create the centre section and then stamped the words in Real Red ink from Stampin' Up and the triple treat flower punch.  I also used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

This was a lovely stamp from Lili of the Valley that I coloured in using Promarkers and added an Antique Brad for the centre of the sunflower.  The paper was from the totally girl collection and the granddaughter was from papermania females

This is the last of the cards I made for her birthday, I used the balloons from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp collection, The decorative label punch to put the sentiment in, and the paper and ink used was Melon Mamba also from Stampin' Up. The one blue balloon used Tempting Turquoise.

Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I am up to.

Tea Shoppe Crazy!!!

Stampin' Up have in their Summer mini catalogue this gorgeous stamp set called Tea Shoppe, and I have fallen totally in love with it. I have made quite a few of these cards as you will see but I have changed the colours for who I have made them for.  All of the cards in the pictures have used the new Designer Series Paper called Attic Boutique which is lush also available in the new Summer mini catalogue. The colours I have used are Poppy Parade and Pool Party and I have used the Lace Border punch and the Modern Label punch.

On a few of the cards, I have used either twine or an antique brad, both available in the Stampin' Up ideas book.

Thank you for stopping by to see what has been happening in my little craft room.

Father's Day Cards

It seems like such a long time ago, but this is the 1st chance I have had to get on here. These were a couple of the cards I made for Father's day this year and I was quite pleased with how they turned out.

This card was made for my brother in laws dad who is a lollipop man.  I used the Creative Memories cutting system to get my circles and the Sizzix Broadway Melody for the lettering.

I made this one for my father in law as he loves darts. I found a picture on google so I knew what it looked like and then drew this out on to white card and coloured it in using promarkers for the colours.  I had a lot of fun making this card.

This card I made for my girls for fathers day.  The stamp set is from Stampin' Up and is called up, up and away. The cardstock is also from Stampin' Up and the sentiment was from Lili of the Valley.

This card was made from the Forever Friends For Him paper pack and created my own decoupage to create the 3D effect.

This card was made for my dad who bless him, when he sits down he has a tendency to fall asleep.  It uses paper from the complete boy collection from My Mind's Eye and the stamps were from Lili of the Valley.

Hope you have enjoyed stopping by.

Teacher Thank you Boxes!!!

Hard to believe that my little Phoebe has finished a year at nursery and starts Reception full time in September. Scary how fast they grow.  As the year has finished, I wanted to make the teachers a little thank you gift as they have been so good.

I found this tutorial and so I want to point you in the lovely Kirsteen Gill's direction to see her amazing designs and also if you want to have a go at making this then here is the link.  The instructions are so clear that you be making loads and loads.  So far, I have made about 6 but I know that I will be making more and more. I will also be selling them, so if you want some christmas gifts or anything. Please get in contact.

Anyway, here is the picture of the ones I have made for the teachers, I hope you like them. I won't tell you how I made them, so you can go over to Kirsteen to get the tutorial.

I have made these using products from Stampin' Up and filled the boxes with little stationary bits and a few little chocolates.  If you did want to order any then, I can change what goes in them or leave them empty for you to fill with your own choice.

Hope you enjoy looking at them.

Branching out!!!

Hi everyone,

Well, I went to the training day for Stampin Up on Saturday at Reading and met some really lovely people.  It was packed full of information and also some new product news.  One of these is the new simply scored tool that I have to say has become one of my new favourite toys.  The following are some of the items that we were shown how to make and I have to say they are very easy to make.  If you would be interested in the scoring tool, it is just slightly bigger than 12"x 12 " which makes it perfect to make larger projects.  Here are a couple of the items that I have made using it.  The scoring tool is in imperial, but also available are the metric and diagonal plate which slide into place.

This is a picture of the new Simply scored tool and on it are two of the little projects that I have made.

This is a little gift basket that has been made using one sheet of 12"X 12" designer series paper. It has 4 little pockets and makes a perfect gift as a small thank you.  The ribbon is Riding Hood Red also from Stampin' Up.

This is a delightful little notecard holder. On one side it has a pocket for 4 little notecards and on the other side is a pocket for envelopes. It is made using just one sheet of 12"x12" Designer Series Paper. Again, another lovely little thank you card.

6 Sided Milk Carton!!!

This was something that I found on YouTube under 'docrafting'.  I fell in love with it and when I got the die it was the first thing I made so thank you.  This was the Prototype of it and as I loved it so much, I made them for Easter presents for my family.

I used whisper white cardstock and then around the outside of the box, I used the new Tea Shoppe stamp set from the new summer mini Stampin' up catalogue.  The images were stamped in Perfect plum.

Sneak Peak!!!

This is one of the gorgeous new stamps that you can look forward to when the Stampin' Up Summer mini catalogue comes out.  It is called Tea Shoppe and the paper is called Attic Boutique from the new Designer Series Paper.

I made this into an anniversary card for my Aunty and Uncle.  It uses all Stampin' Up products.  The backing paper is called Attic Boutique, the border is the lace border punch and is punched out on Poppy Red cardstock.  I then stamped two cups onto whisper white card and layered them up to create an effect,  I then stamped the sentiment using teeny tiny wishes.  I hope you like it.

Boy Birthday Cards

Here I am again,   I have been busy trying to come up with ideas for boy birthday cards and here are a few that I have been making.

As you can see, this is a card I have made for a 4th birthday.  The backing paper is from My Mind's Eye Totally Boy. The red is from Stampin' Up poppy red cardstock.  The image is from Lili of the Valley as is the sentiment.  I have coloured him in using Promarkers and the 4 was from the Country Companions numbers by Joanne Sheen.

The backing paper and the number 5 is Up and Away that came free with one of the magazines.  The number is from country campanions Joanne Sheen set.  The sentiment and the hot air balloons is a sneak peak from a new Stampin' Up product from the new summer mini catalogue. It is called Up, Up and Away. I love it.

This was a card I made for my cousins little boy who was 5 at the weekend.  I can't remember where I got the backing paper from as it is one I have had for ages.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up from the Happiest Birthday set.  The image is from Lili of the Valley and coloured in using promarkers.

Hope you have enjoyed taking a look into my little world

Anniversary Cards

There have been quite a few anniversaries recently, so I have been busy with making a few. For my 30th birthday, I was given a Big Shot from my mum and dad and so I have been busy playing with that.  Here are one of the anniversary cards that I have made using the new bits that came with the big shot.

This card was made using the sizzix hearts die cut and then put through the embossing spots folder.  The card was from the coordinations card stock which I then sanded to get the grain effect.  I then used the Teeny Tiny Wishes from Stampin' Up for the sentiment and the modern label punch.

I'm Back Again

Hi All,

It feels like ages since I have been on here but after getting my new charger for the laptop, the whole thing then died. Fortunately for me, I have a brother in law who is amazing with computers and he has been able to fix it for me.  I have been able to get cards made though so I will slowly get round to putting them on here. Hope you are all well and  I will be able to get round to see more blogs as well.

Male Birthdays

Well, March seems to be getting away from us and it is going all too fast. I haven't managed to blog as I hoped I would, My aim was to get on everyday but that hasn't happened. Although I haven't been able to blog much, I have been craftily busy(not sure that is a word, but it is now).  As you know, the end of January saw me become a Stampin' Up demonstrator and I have now done 3 classes.  I have another 1 lined up for April and hopefully one towards the end of April as well.  They all went really well and I had 10 come to each class and they all made fantastic cards to take away.

Anyway enough rambling and down to business. March seems to be a busy month for guy birthdays and so here are a few that I have done. They are for my cousins husband but as always, the family also need them and so I have to come up with a few ideas for the same person fortunately, he likes various sports. It certainly keeps me on my toes but I love it.  Here they are.

This is the little cricket fella from Lili Of The Valley.  I have coloured him in using Promarkers, the backing paper is all from My Mind's Eye complete boy collection.  The little paper buttons are from the Creative Memories cheerful collection. I went for the red round one because of the cricket theme.

This uses for the backing paper My Mind's Eye complete boy paper. The image is from papermania and is called Nostalgic Pastimes.  I have coloured in using Promarkers and mounted onto basic black cardstock from Stampin' Up.

This card was made using the Goal set from Stampin' Up. It is the first time I have used masking to create a card but I am quite pleased with how it turned out.  I have used a strip of basic black cardstock along the top, and then I have stamped the GOAL and the black footballs in basic black ink and the red were in Real Red ink. Quite a simple card really but I hope it looks effective.

I hope you like them,

Aged Birthdays

Yea, at last we have a new charger so I should be able to be on here a lot more regularly again.  I am so pleased.  Anyway, even though I haven't been able to blog, I have been busy with a few orders.  A friend asked me to make a few cards for her with ages and also someone asked me to make a card for a 16th. They are all made using Lili of the Valley and made from My Minds Eye spotty collection and Forever FriendsWith Love collection.

This card was made for( you guessed it) a 2year old. I love this paper collection from My Mind's Eye and also Lili of the Valley so used them together to create this and the below card.  I also used red cardstock from the Paper Mill Shop to create some layers and a ribbon effect.  The numbers were from the Crafters companion Joanne Sheen Number collection which I used as stencils.

The details are the same as the above one but this is one of the new Lili of the Valleys collection. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's teeny tiny wishes and punched out using the word window punch

This was made for a 16th birthday and I thought that getting ready to be glammed up would be a nice idea.  The paper was Forever Friends with Love collection and the flower was from Creative Memories.  The happy birthday was from Stampin' Up teeny tiny wishes and punched out with the word window punch.  I have coloured them in using Promarkers.

I hope that you like the latest cards that I have done and I have really tried to use my blender and to have a go at trying to shade aswell.

Thank you for stepping into my little blog world and seeing what I have been up to.

The backing paper is from the Tim Holtz paper collection, the aeroplane is from the Stamper's Anonymous range and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  I hope you like it.  I have stamped this using the old paper Ranger ink distress range.

1st Birthday Thank you cards

I am one of these people who love to do thank you cards for presents and basically anything else.  It was recently my little Chloe's 1st birthday and she was very spoilt and so I designed a little thank you card to send out.

This is the little girl walking from Lili of the Valley which I have coloured in using Promarkers.  I then stamped Thank you but it was one that I got from my mum and so not sure where it came from. I hope you like it

Winged Things!!!!!

This is a card that I have done for my best friends little niece.  It again uses a Lili Of The Valley and it took me a little while to get it just right but I got there in the end.

I have used paper from the word stack collection but I can't remember who designed it.  I have used birthday fairy from Lili of the Valley and coloured her in using Promarkers.  The name and number I used Broadway Melody by Sissix and my cuttlebug.  To take a bit of the whiteness away from the page I used spun sugar from Ranger and distressed the card. I hope that you like it and I am entering this into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday.

Afternoon Tea

I have managed to blog again. It seems to be a bit far and between at the moment but there was a couple of challenges that I wanted to enter.  This one I have done for the challenge over at Lili of the Valley.  I love their stamps and I will use them forever. Here is the card I have done for a birthday.

The backing paper is from the DCWV piece of cake paper range.  I love the 2 girls having a cup of tea and makes me think of my best friend( not that we drink tea :-) ). The cupcake is made from the create a cupcake from the Stampin' Up mini catalogue.  I also used the decorative label punch and the word window punch to do the sentiment and background. Again, all the products use 2 of my loves.  One is the newest and we have a very good friendship now.  I coloured this in using Promarkers. I hope you that you like it. I am entering this into the following challenges.

Phoebe's 1st Attempt at Cardmaking

I just had to share this with you as I know how much it will mean to you.  The last few weeks, my little girl who is 3 and a half has been sitting at the end of my craft desk watching everything that I do.  Yesterday she got bought a little stamp set and so today we made her first card.  She was so pleased with herself, I just hope her Nanny likes it.

Here she is looking so proud of herself. The little stamps were from Tiger and she did all that  herself. I then stamped the Nanny and Happy Birthday sentiment and attached them for her.   I am a very proud mummy.

My 1st Stampin' Up workshop cards

Well, I have been busy trying to get sorted out for my 1st workshop next week and these are 2 of the cards I am going to get them to have a go at making.  I am so excited but I think that it will soon turn to nervousness.  It will be a group of ladies from church so people that I know who hopefully will give me some constructive feedback for the next one.  I hope that you like them.

This card I have done using just one colour.  I have done the background with the colour spritzer tool with the Rose Red write marker.  I then stamped the Triple Treat Flower on to  whisper white paper using the Rose Red Ink pad and punched it out using the flower punch.  I attached 2 of these with double tape and then made one of them 3D. I then put some buttons in the middle of the flower.  I then used the spotty frame from the four frames set again in the Rose Red ink pad and punched this out using the decorative frame punch.  To make sure the sentiment was in the right place I used the Stamp a ma jig to get the alignment accurate and I was so pleased with how that came out.  I guess I used the one colour to show just what you can do with a few different techniques.
This the 3rd card for my class. It is a small 4' by 4' square. I have used blue cardstock from Stampin' Up, I then used the cupcake roller to create the background and inked this with Baya Breeze blue.  I used the crazy for cupcakes stamp set and stamped this onto whisper white and coloured in using write markers.  I used one of the frames from the four frame set and punched it out using the frame punch.  I used the sentiment from the cupcake set and got it right where I wanted it using the Stamp a ma jig.

For this card, I have used black cardstock from Stampin' Up  for the back background and then I used Real Red cardstock for the next background.  I used Whisper white to stamp the image onto and cut this to the right size so I knew how much space I would have.  I then used the Stamp a ma jig and the greenhouse garden 2 step stamp set to create the orgeous flower.  I wasn't happy with all the white space left at the bottom so I used the same cardstock to create a bit along the bottom and also a background for the happy birthday sentiment.  For the sentiment I used happy birthday from the teeny tiny wishes and punched it out using the word window.  I then just added a little bow in whisper white satin ribbon next to it to add a little extra. The ink pads I used were Real Red, Old Olive and Basic Black.

I really hope they are going to enjoy themselves

Happy Valentine's Day

Two days late I know but unfortunately have been having trouble with my charger and so am managing to get it on tonight but not sure when I will get on again. This is the card that I did for my husband using some of the products in the starter kit from Stampin' Up.

All of the card used some of the different products in Real Red, Real Red cardstock, Real Red Ink pad. The alphabet is the letter it stamp set and the I heart hearts stamp set.  The only bit that wasn't Stampin' Up was the heart lace border which is Martha Stewart.  He really liked it so that was good.

Love is in the Air!!!

We went to the Hobbycraft and Creative Stitches show at Bluewater at the weekend and my mum fell in love with this little fella and so I have made a valentines card using him for her.  He is of course a Lili of the Valley stamp and he is so sweet. This is one of 10 that I got new at the show.
The paper is from My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2 boyish.  I love this paper pack and the words were so fitting for my mum to my dad.  It is nice to see how in love they still are after 31 years of marriage.  The brown card has a gold sparkle to it which is a bit hard to see but it tied in well with the backing patterned paper.  I then stamped my image on to a pearlescent card and coloured it in using Promarkers.  I even tried a proper bit of shading as I have a new daylight lamp and was pleased with how that turned out.  The hearts I punched out using Creative Memories heart punch by using the cardstock and the backing paper.  I am going to enter this in to the challenge over at I love Promarkers Love is in the Air and the challenge over at Alota Rubber Stamps Love Challenge with No Red.

Buttons and Bows

This is a card that I have made for a friend of mines birthday but it also happens to fall on Valentines Day.  That was why I did the heart with friend on it in the corner.

The backing paper is My Minds Eye spots collection. The red strip was some red card from the Old Paper Mill Shop. I then stamped the triple treat flower from Stampin' Up in real red and old olive.  I cut round these and then added a button in the middle of the flowers.  I stamped the heart from I heart hearts also from Stampin' Up,(can you tell I have been getting a lot of use from my starter kit).  I then tied a little bow with a bit of ribbon that I recycled from inside a red top.  The sentiment is from Crazy for Cupcakes also from Stampin'up.  I am going to enter this into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday where the challenge was Buttons and Bows.

I really hope you like this one as it is something completely different but I love how it turned out and enjoyed making it so much.

60th Birthday!!!!!

It has been a few days since I last blogged but hopefully am back on track now, or so I hope. I have been busy with making cards so not all has been lost.  The weekend we went to the Hobbycraft and Creative Stitches show at Bluewater. I got some lovely new Lili of the Valley stamps, which can't wait to make some cards with them, I finished of my set of Promakers which is very exciting. My mum and dad got me a daylight and that is making a massive difference. Anyway, sorry about the ramble.  These were a couple of cards I have made for my brother in laws mum which was yesterday.

The backing paper for this card was from My Minds Eye Lost and Found collection. It is a gorgeous soft pink with script all over it.  I then  cut a small square in soft pink and then a slightly smaller square which I embossed using the flutterby embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  I used Sizzix Broadway Melody for the 60 and the glitter paper was from WHSmith. I then tied a bow in pink ribbon and put along the bottom of the square.

For this card, I used some of the gorgeous new products from Stampin' Up. It is the Greenhouse Garden 2 step stamping set.  I used the real red inkpad and just randomly stamped the stamp for the background.  I then stamped the proper stamp to create the flower. The stem was stamped in Old Olive. The 60 was again die cut using Sizzix Broadway Melody and I stamped the Happy Birthday and then put red glitter over the words to add a bit of sparkle.

Hope you like and hopefully be on again later with some other makes

Aeroplane Birthday!!!

This is another card I made today. It can be so hard to come up with cards for men but I seem to have been on a bit of a role with them at the moment.  This card has been made using the Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink Frayed Burlap for the background, Then old paper for the map and again Frayed Burlap for the aeroplane.  The Stamps were from the Tim Holtz collection.   I have used brown cardstock from the Old Paper Mill shop.

I hope that again you like it.

Happy 60th Birthday!!!

These are a couple of birthday cards that I have made for a 60th Birthday.  One has been made using mainly  Stampin' Up products and the other uses other products.

For this card I used My Minds Eye Lost and Found paper for the backing. I then used some pink lemonade cardstock and the flutterby embossing folder with a small square of card. I then distressed it using Ranger Distress Ink Spun Sugar .  I put a piece of pink ribbon along the bottom which was what the card came tied together with. I then used Broadway Melody Sizzix font for the numbers and peel offs.

This Card I used the Stampin' Up 2 step greenhouse garden.  I stamped the background of the card with one of the stamps and then used the 2 step for the flower image.  I used Stampin' Up Real Red for the stamping.  The numbers were again using the Sizzix Broadway Melody.  I then stamped the Happy Birthday and put glue on the words and then used red glitter over the top.  The red card is from Stampin' Up and also called Real Red.

I hope that you like them
