Birthday Cards

This card was what I did Phoebe to celebrate her 3rd birthday. I folded a A4 piece of card and covered the front of it with the heart card from the little girl collection. I wanted to use a picture that totally captured what she is about. The twinkling eyes and the smile that goes all the way to her eyes plus the fact that she adores her dollies.  I then cut out the oval shape using the Creative Memories Cutting System oval shape templates to make a frame around the picture.  To do the letters I used the Penny Black 'Zoophabet' clear stamps and coloured them in using my Promarkers.

Phoebe had a baby sister in January and her sister thinks she is a star.  I used a square card for this one and then cut a square smaller size using a piece of paper from the pink petticoat range.  I cut the star out using the Creative Memories template shape cuts and placed that over the top. The stars I punched out using the Creative Memories star punch and then used the birthday sentiments from the Lili of the valley range. I then stamped the sister using the papermania clear family stamp range

This card was made for Phoebe's Great Grandma to give her.  I covered an A6 card with a piece from pink petticoat free range given from a card magazine. Stamped the 3 and today using Joanna Sheens numbers and sentiments and coloured in using my promarkers.

My sister for christmas got a few of the ruby fairy stamps for me from ladybugcrafts.  I wanted to use the swing fairy as my sister and her fiance like to take her to the park where she loves the swings.  The paper used is from 'My Minds Eye' spots range and the ribon is from fantastic ribbons.  I then used the Cuttlebug to die cut out niece so used Broadway Melody and used the lili of the valley sentiments for the birthday wishes.

This card was designed for my younger sister to give her as she absolutely loves baking with her. I used the Creative Memories tearing tool to give the jagged effect at the edge of the card which I just love to use.  I used a piece of paper from the pink petticoat free paper that I got from a card magazine and used the same piece to cuttlebug diecut the Niece, again using Broadway Melody.  The stamp I used is Rosie's Cake from the lili of the valley range and coloured in using my promarkers.  The flower is from the fuzzy moon range and then I put a number 3 on to that.

This card was from her grandparents and my mum adores the house mouse range. I used a decoupage sheet from the Joanna Sheen range of decoupage and built it up from that. I then used the lili of the valley birthday sentiments for the birthday message.

It is amazing how many ideas you can come up with for one occasion and the next one that I will have to get ready for is my best friends wedding which again we have all been invited to and so another 6 cards call and all have to be different but I will rise to the challenge.  She also asked me to design her card for her husband to be which I have already done but will put on after the big day on Saturday.

Daughters 3rd Birthday

This week saw my little girl turn 3 and so I had to design a few cards so that my family all had different ones to give her. The challenge was to get them all looking completely different but also had to have 3 on it.
