Challenge #101 Bring on the Music - Lullaby

Well, I thought that I would be brave this week and enter my first challenge and being a lover of all things Lili Of The Valley, I just had to do something with one of their stamps.  A lot of my friends are at the stage of having babies and so am constantly trying to think of new ideas for designs of cards.  It could also be that I have just had a baby that I like to do them.
I was inspired by Brahms Lullaby for this card as it is one that I often hum to my girls when trying to get them to sleep.  I had been passed on a backing stamp with the lullaby music by Hero Arts so stamped this on to a tag that I had die cut using the Cuttlebug Ironworks die cut and embossing set. I used the baby blanket Lili Of The Valley stamp as it looked like a baby getting ready for a sleep and coloured it using Promarker pens. The sentiment was also from the circular stamps from Lili of the valley.  The backing paper was some that I had leftover from doing previous cards so don't know who it is by I am afraid. Sorry it has been a little while since been on here but I have been busy doing orders and also getting ready for my sisters graduation and wedding. Shall be posting again soon

Family Cards

The following cards were ones I had to do inbetween doing the ones for my mums birthday. They included ones for Uncle, friends little boys 1st birthday and cousins.  We are also working on doing my sisters Order of Services for her upcoming wedding having done all the invitations to get them sent out.
This card was done for my Uncle's birthday, who like all the males in our family are massive cricket fans.  I used the new papermania docrafts favourite pastimes clear stamps for the picture and the Happy Brithday words.  The backing paper is from the collection of My Minds Eye complete boy range.  I also used the Martha Stewart scallop dot all around the page punch to create the effect along the top of the striped border.

This card was made for my cousin who likes the slightly darker colours.  The backing paper is from My Minds Eye spots and stripes collection. The sentiments I used the Happy circular sentiments  from LOTV along with Rosie's  cake stamp from LOTV.  The flower embellishment is from the cheerful range from creative Memories and I coloured in the design using my promarkers.

This card I did for my Friends little boys 1st birthday. I used for the backing paper, My Minds Eye complete boy collection. The 1 I used from the number clear stamps from Penny Black and coloured in using promarkers.  The stamp is Land Ahoy from the newest boy range from LOTV. I also coloured this in using my Promarkers.

I also this week had my 1st attempt at making a 3D Notelet set box for my mum's birthday as a present from the girls and I was really pleased with how it came together but also there are things I can do differently. I will be adding these later and would love feedback good and bad as I would like to submit it for Unit One of my course.  As you can see have been a little bit busy, but I am loving it. xxx

Happy Birthday Mum

As my mum is such a fan of the house mouse range, I used this decoupage sheet from the range by Joanne Sheen as it seemed fitting to give it to her from her granddaughters. Mum is also a massive knitter and I can't thank her enough for all the cardigans she has knitted for my 2 beautiful girls. Thanks mum you're the best. The journalling mat is from the little girl sugar and spice range and the stamps were done using the papermania words clear stamps.

This card was made using the Docrafts Bubbles collection of paper and the decoupage sheet that came with the pack. The frame surrounding the words is from the Creative Memories Black and White range and Mum is stamped using the papermania words clear stamps.  Mum does so much she definately deserves to put her feet up.

Dad wanted a card for my mum and so I wanted to give it a slightly romantic feel as he adores my mum and it shows in everything he does. They are so good together and this just seemed so right for him to give her. The words sentiments is from the Creative Memories Expressions of those we love and the flower embellishments is also from Creative Memories Black and White range.  The backing paper is from the cardmakers creative pack classic collection which I love.

We are loving the newest range of me to you from docrafts as in our family we are all crazy for the adorable tatty teddy.  This card was made using the backing paper from the me to you range and the flower pots Tatty Teddy stamp.  The Happy Birthday was stamped using the Happy Circular stamps from LOTV and Mum was stamped using papermania words clear stamps.

This was again using the House Mouse collection but from the stamp collection. Mouse with daisy. The corners were punched using Martha Stewart Scallop Dots all around the page punch and the design was coloured in using the Promarkers. The backing paper is from the Forever Friends With love collection. Mum was again stamped using the papermania words clear stamps

My Best Friends Wedding

No pun intended but that is what these cards are for.  I am blessed to have such an amazing best friend and I know that her day will be one to remember.  I am also blessed to have a family who support me in making cards and who no doubt will keep getting them from me : ) or so I hope.  As I said the whole family is going to the wedding and so again ideas for 5 different styles of cards had to come. Thank goodness for the creative juices that were flowing constantly and my new order. Here they are and hope you like them.

This card was made using an A5 piece of paper and scoring down both sides to create the folded in style.  I then on the right hand side used the Martha Stewart Love Hearts edge punch to give the border. I then used Magenta cardstock to put under the right hand side and for the Initials.  The Letters were done using the Sissix Broadway Melody and in the bottom right hand corner the cuttlebug love hearts embossing folder.

This card was made as a special with the names and date as a special reminder of the happy day. The paper used was Paper Pizazz Wedding for both the background and the letters and numbers. I used the Sissix Broadway Melody to do them.  The sentiments was from the LOTV circular sentiments.

I adored making this card. It uses two of my favourite things. LOTV stamps and Creative Memories.  The paper used is from the black and white range of Creative Memories paper. The Stamp is wedding and the calendar stamp all from LOTV.  The edge was made using the Martha Stewart Love Heart edge and I used my favourite promarkers again.
This card was made using Inkadinkadoo wedding stamps evenly spaced but hope that it captures some main aspects of the big day.  I also used black cardstock from Creative Memories.

This card was made with  a square blank and the Martha Stewart punch around the page ring punch. Which I was so thank ful came in the post this morning. Nothing like getting to use them straight away.  I used the Magenta Cardstock as a backing and the stamps were from the Inkadinkadoo Wedding Sentiments clear stamps which I love.

I will put on the other card which I did my best friend as her husband to be wedding card which was an absolute honour to make.  To Sian and Tim, if you happen to look at this blog, I love you loads and we are looking forward to the big day and also can't wait to see Phoebe looking gorgeous as your flower girl.  I know you will both be happy together.

Well, the next big card event to do is my mum's birthday so will have to get inspired for another 6 cards. See you soon xx

Lucy's Birthday

In between doing the wedding cards for the weekend, there are still the never ending birthdays and other occasions. This is my first attempt at an easel card so I hope you like it.  The backing paper I have used is from the Creative Memories Simply Beautiful range. They do such a lovely range and the pastels are beautiful.  The stamp is from Lili of the valley called Rosies Presents.  I have coloured it in using my promarkers mostly the pastel ones.  The flowers are from the Creative Memories Simply Beautiful range and the birthday sentiment is from lili of the valley happy sentiments.

Have these wedding cards to make before Saturday and then mum's birthday and my gorgeous sister and fiances graduation.  Things are going to get busy round here.
